Unable to delete nodes from UI with [ in the name

After trying to import a template file (previously exported from another
installation) i ended up with multiple entries with the same name (at least
according to your UI).
When I am trying to delete these node I get an error message that the name
contains illegal characters.
1. Why does it create nodes with illegal characters and then won't let me
delete them?
2. How do i remove this node?
