Admin interface fails when running in HTTPS / IE
------------------------------------------------
Key: MAGNOLIA-902
URL: http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-902
Project: magnolia
Type: Bug
Components: admininterface
Versions: 2.1.5
Environment: Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6.
Reporter: Remco Slotboom
Assigned to: Boris Kraft
We run our author instance in HTTPS/SSL on Tomcat, because people want to be
able to edit content outside of our network (at home ,etc). People using IE
frequently get issues in the admin interface, with
the tree menus not expanding on click, or the templates dropdown not filling on
click, or a rename not succeeding. The only recourse is then refreshing, and
losing what/whereever you where.
Interestingly, the same server works fine with Mozilla Firefox on Linux or
Windows, and previously, when the server was not running HTTPS (we switched
when migrating to from 2.0 to 2.1(.5) ) it also worked fine in IE.
Because IE is organisation policy most people have it by default.
