Copy a dialog node and paste it into a different subdirectory does not result
in a uniquely named dialog node
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: MAGNOLIA-1193
URL: http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-1193
Project: magnolia
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 3.0 RC4
Environment: Tomcat server that came with the RC4 bundle, and using
Firefox 2.0 as browser
Reporter: Ryan Gardner
Assigned To: Boris Kraft
Priority: Minor
I found this bug by doing this step:
- Created a new folder inside the dialog tree at the same level as "samples"
called "speakersbureau"
- with the "samples" node expanded, copied the "samples-textimage" node by
right clicking on it, and then "pasted" it into the "speakersbureau" folder
- the name of the node in the "speakersbureau" folder was the exact same as the
one in the "samples" folder, and this caused a lot of grief later on...
To fix this issue, I copied the "samples-textimage" and pasted it again inside
the "speakersbureau" folder and it then correctly appended a "0" to the end of
the name to give it a unique name. I then deleted both "samples-textimage" and
renamed the copied one to no longer have the "0" after it's name.
Until I did the little two-step to restore it, attempting to create paragraphs
with the samples-textimage was throwing exceptions about not being able to find
the dialog for the paragraph. (because there were two of them?)
