currently rendered as <code>sometextinfixedfontsize</code>. Even though <code>
is not always 100% semantically correct (since we use this for example to
denote file paths), it still seems better than a <tt> which really is about
rendering.
If anyone would come up with a generic enough and yet semantically valid class
name, I could replace this by a <span class="xyz"> if needed.
