B) if you make the custom class your default you don't have to change
it per project but only in the root one.
Other possibility: implement a custom version handler which
manipulates the dialogs on installation. You even might go that far
as to rewrite the bootstrap files on building.

i have tried to add my custom filter, but realised that you
cannot get
the dialog through the filter, because the dialogs are rendered
at the
end of the chain filter, which means that my filter is activate
either
too early (before even the dialog exists) or doesent activate at
all,
because the chain has ended.
Other ideas are welcomed too...
