The branch is now created - from the tag.
No "small fix" is going into there without a serious reason and a jira
issue.

I see there is still no branch, are you planning to create it from
trunk soon? Does any commit done now be included in the branch? (I
just committed a small fix that should go in rc2)
About the process: isn't it better to continue committing to trunk and
merging any required fix to the 3.6 branch, instead than starting
working to the branch directly?
