Correct - the lookup is performed through the client code, which talks
<directly> to the root registry (via OpenSRS' systems).

Matters could get so confusing at work that it is actually laughable.

Subject: lookup tool

As was mentioned in different faqs on OpenSRS site WHIOS can't
give correct answer about availability of domain.
Only lookup on root servers can, right ?

How this lookup implemented ?
Is it similar to nslookup or it involves
other mechanism ? If similar to nslookup,
how about not real-time reloading of root zones ?

Need it for registering of domains in ua zone.
