The bounces for an e-mail are sent to the "Envelope Sender Address", not the
address on the From header. I just checked a renewal e-mail from OpenSRS and
I see that the Envelope Sender is "[EMAIL PROTECTED]". Often times the
MTA software sets this by default to be USERNAME@HOSTNAME.
I propose that we should be able to set the Envelope Sender address in the
resellers.opensrs.net site. Or at least make it the same as the address in
the From header, so we can make sure we see the bounces and possibly take
further action to contact the customer.
The Envelope Sender address can be explicitly set when sending a message to
the MTA. I know that qmail lets you use the -f flag on the qmail-inject
program. I'm not sure how send mailworks.
