As everyone said, use dig, not nslookup, but the problem you're
having with nslookup with this:
> I.ROOT-SERVERS.NET internet address = 192.36.148.17
> E.ROOT-SERVERS.NET internet address = 192.203.230.10
> D.ROOT-SERVERS.NET internet address = 128.8.10.90
> *** Can't find server name for address 205.188.157.235: No information
> *** Default servers are not available
>
Is probably that recursion is turned off for those nameservers and
the inverse mapping for 205.188.157.0 is somewhere else (on
some other nameservers), which is where nslookup hits the brick.
