From a developer's point of view, .info registrations should fit nearly seamlessly into the current reg_system.cgi and register.cgi (i.e. the "sw_register" and "register" API commands). There is additional validation (phone number, mandatory state field) required for info orders. Also note that some domains reserved in the registry (iab.info, <major tld>.info, internic.info, etc...). Also the registry does not accept UK coutry code since it is not a recognized ISO country code (despite the .uk TLD). The registrant should use GB instead. We'll include this validation (or possibly auto conversion) in the next release of the server.
