We're a bit late to the .biz and .info game. I have looked through past discussion archives as well as the .biz and .info FAQs on the OpenSRS site. So far I have come up with the following information that differs from regular .com registrations:
1. .biz and .info domains can only be registered for 2 or more years. 2. .biz changes to registrant information for domains registered in either Start-Up or registry live can be made beginning January 2002. 3. .biz - The maximum field length for all contact information is 30 characters (This does not include email address). 4. .info -As per direction from Afilias, resellers will not be able to manage registrant contact information (but are currently able to manage DNS information) until approximately December 10, 2001. Please look for these changes to be available in the Client beginning on this date. 5. Renewals for both .biz and .info can be one year. 6. I don't think that .biz transfers work yet but .info does work I was also aware that .info (and .biz ?) domains will be forced to enter telephone numbers in the +9.9999999 format. Is this still the case ? Has anybody come up with a script to automatically change what a client enters regardless of their input format into the correct +9.9999999 format ?
