Obtaining the order id after a renewal

I am looking foir a way to obtain the order id after doing a renewal. I have
tried to do it the same way as after a registration ie: $id =
$rv->{attributes}{id};  to no avail. Does anyone have a suggestion - the
protocol guide doesn't mention that it is available but the RWI shows it in
the pended areaas

any help ?
