I can and will take every effort to speed it up on my side...as for the
DomainDirect guys using the same API...i don't suppose their server is on
the same high-speed network with no router congestion in between?

Regardless, whatever I do will be a hack to get around a limited
implementation.  If I were going to really fix it, I would fix the API to
support the functionality.  To extend the structure to support the
specification of multiple names and then add a looped or threaded process on
the OpenSRS server seems like a relatively easy thing to do...

We're looking into possible solutions to this, but any delays you experience
would invariably be experienced server side as well

Parallelizing the lookups can speed things up, we're looking into how to go
about doing this server side.

Note that DomainDirect uses the exact same API as all the other OpenSRS
customers; if they can come up with a solution, so can you :)
