Be sure that if it's renewed at VeriSign, that you keep the domain there for
45 days after expiry (if that hasn't happened already).

The registry policy is to "auto-renew" at expiry; if the domain is
transfered within 45 days of expiry that "auto-renew" is refunded, which
typically means you get screwed for a year (and since NSI's policy is no
refunds to customers, you lose out twice)
