I talked to a few people who got fooled by DOA and Network Solutions and I found out where improvements can be made. Quite a few registrants that I spoke with do not know how to "decline" a transfer-away, even while they were reading the message. A few of them told me that they thought that by clicking the link, that they were "approving the transfer." They didn't realize that the link was for both approving and declining a transfer. Registrants told me, "I was scared to click that link, because I though I would be forwarded and transferred away." This is a very common problem. One possible solution is to have a definite way to decline the transaction that is easy to complete. Clients should not have to go through multiple loops to decline false transfers. It should be 1 click to the decline link, and then click 1 accept button. Offer the "accept transfer" is pretty much redundant, since Tucows automatically allows transfers away at the end of 5 days if Registrants do nothing. Perhaps you can offer to decline the transfer, and offer them a choice to place a "registry lock" to prevent abusive registrars from trying again.
