Charles,

Is using horizon.opensrs.net more reliable than
using  whois.opensrs.net?

I tried using whois.opensrs.net in my whois parsing script
but sometimes the results comes back blank once in a while.
However, when I switched it to: whois.internic.net
it works everytime without problem. However,
the problem with that is internic does not pickup
newly registered opensrs domains until the next
day or two.

Would using horizon.opensrs.net solve the problem
that I've been getting with blank screens ever so often
when no results come back?

You can perform a whois by using a regular whois client and specifying
horizon.opensrs.net for the host :)
