I've been hoping someone would respond to your message as well. I've been thinking of writing tools like this for a while, but it's never been a high enough priority for me to devote any real time to it. Such tools shouldn't be too difficult to put together, but their appeal would be somewhat limited I think. The large bulk of the RSP community probably uses the RWI or almost-stock copies of the CGIs, and companies that want "real" control over manageable data will generally implement the API directly into their software.
