If I remember correctly, recent mailing list discussions (from Tucows staff) suggested that development of the sourceforge version has fallen behind and it's future is in doubt.
Its future is not in doubt (ie - something that we would mothball) but its future is unclear (ie - we have not yet completed our thinking around what we need to do with it).
As I mentioned we are putting the resources in place and will have more details announced slowly but surely throughout July.
In the meantime, hold tight and keep an eye out for more.
