My two cents on this matter:

0.01: We script the RWI to pull down a list of all our active domains 
and their expiry dates (basically, we grab the CSV file, then parse it 
locally).  If a list_all_domains function is coming in the new year, 
this will be a godsend.

0.02: I often run this script against the live RWI.  If I run it 
against the batch RWI, it invariably times out or fails, which 
completely Fs up our automated systems.
