Hi John,

Basically the deal with this is that VeriSign is moving CC and TV off their
old legacy registry API's into their new ccTLD platform called "namestore"
on Dec 14th which is an EPP based registry system. Unfortunately their
timing does not work with our year end code freeze and we had to come up
with an alternate handling mechanism. The alternate handling method is
expected to be in place until the end of January 2005.

Specific answers to your questions are inline below...

That is correct however this is not a throw away solution. CC's and TV's
will be returned to the regular manage once we sync up with the registry in
January. This alternate manage path will be used for other new ccTLDs that I
plan to introduce in the new year.

As I say above, its temporary for CC & TV but will be used for new ccTLD's
with lower volumes in the new year.

Let me know if you have further questions about this.

Cheers,

James
