I have loaded SM 3.3 t3 on 2 PC's. One Item I have noticed, the ethernet card do not seem to be controllable from the OS Control Center. One one PC I had dual NICs. Both were recognized by MEPIS and installed. I gave them static IPs. I could not start them through the OS control center. Push the button, nothing happened.
On reboot, cards are detected but it says eth0 and eth1 start up failed. Yet when booting is finished they worked. These are both 3Com PCI cards. Tried a different PC with a via-rhine NIC. Same thing. Card cannot be start/stopped through the OSCC and the OSCC says the card is not online, but it is. If there are data files that would help with this problem, let me know. The dmesg file does not give much detail as to what the problem is.
