Restarting with no extensions causes my browser to feel a whole lot

Worth trying to bisect on the extensions to figure this out...
Or alternatively, install the Gecko Profiler from
https://perf-html.io/, capture a few profiles and file bugs with them.
Performance problems caused by add-ons are often easily visible in
profiles.
But, alas, not always easy to trace to a particular extension as
things stand now.
If you're looking at a local profile, though, you can at least
figure out which extension a moz-extension: URL belongs to by
opening about:debugging and looking at the internal UUIDs of
installed add-ons.
