The $64,[insert a few more zeros] question regarding web compatibility is
the (not particularly visible) effect on monetization. I've been talking
with folks here at Google for a little while about a coincidentally similar
proposal;

sketches out some of the concerns I've heard.

I certainly don't want to discourage you from experimenting, I think that's
a good thing to do! I hope, however, that you'll be able to take
ecosystem/monetization/[buzzword] concerns into consideration when doing
so. Those impacts aren't often clear strictly from the client side.
