Hi!

(This was previously brought up in sync-dev [1], but as there's no resolution I'm trying a different venue; apologies if there is a better place for me to ask this.)

Currently, the Firefox cloud services privacy notice - the one you get when you sign up for a new Firefox Account for syncing things like passwords - basically says that Mozilla will receive my passwords and other private data as a part of using Sync. Would it be possible to add something to explicitly say that Mozilla will _not_ have access to that data (possibly if I choose so)? In practice, this wouldn't affect much; the sync data (as I understand it) is currently encrypted at the client anyway. However, having it explicit in the policy would make Mozilla more resistant to changing that particular implementation detail, whether it's a well-meaning change or being coerced by an external entity. In essence, it would make me feel much safer having my data in the cloud.

Thanks,
