Users can change their cookie settings by going to about:preferences#privacy. Under "History", select "Use custom settings for history". Then, an "Accept cookies from sites" checkbox appears with a list of options below it. You can change the preferences for accepting third party cookies. You can also click the "Exceptions" button to make an exception for LastPass. As far as I know, no part of this changed with Firefox 43.

With the recent change in privacy, and not allowing the user to chnge the
default setting for 3rd-party cookies, I am no longer able to have LastPass
stay open when closing and reopening to test sites, as LastPass requires
3rd-party cookies to be allowed. I have written LastPass asking why they need
3rd-party cookies.

The question of course for this group is, Why did you make the choice to not
allow the user to change cookie settings in 43.0.1?
