Hi dear Mozilla developers,
I am Bo Yang, a GSoC intern of Mozilla. And my project of this
summer is Dehydra for Mingw (http://code.google.com/soc/2008/mozilla/
appinfo.html?csaid=7B926854FB5BA76C).
The main task of this project is to make Mozilla buildable on
Mingw in a cross compile env and then make Windows specific code
static check workable based on this cross compile environment. And the
main delivery of this project are the cross compile manual and static
check manual as well as a optional binary package.
In this summer, I have dealt with winsup/w32api to add the Windows
features necessary for Mozilla trunk. And I have filed and fixed
several bugs on Mozilla itself. Also, I have submitted a little patch
for GCC which now is under discuss. For detail of this, you can visit
the wiki page here https://wiki.mozilla.org/Dehydra_for_Mingw_(GSoC).
Now, I have finish both the documents and the package. The cross
compile document is at
http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Cross_Compile_Mozilla_for_Mingw32
and the static check manual in the cross compile env is at
http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Static_Analysis_for_Windows_Code_under_Linux
. Also, I have file a bug to request to publish the bin package in the
FTP.
I hope Mozilla build team and static analysis team can give me some
feedback on this to make me complete my GSoC project successfully. And
I hope we can provide links to these documents from the main build
document and the main static check document. Thanks!
Any advice will be appreciated, thanks a lot!
Regards!
Bo
