Hey,

There are a family of known dehydra-related data collection bugs. Some of these are due to xpidl, and the need to switch to the .py version. Some of them are related to me not collecting, or sometimes not using in the UI, data from dehydra fully. The callers stuff is broken due to gcc 4.3 to 4.5 issues with the dehydra scripts, and the need to integrate the callgraph stuff for 4.5 back in.

A number of people have asked me about dxr issues in the past week. In the summer I had 6 weeks to work on dxr stuff, a bunch of which got eaten up by a rush to get the audio api done for ff4 code freeze. I had hoped to work on a lot of these data related things, but ended-up focused on other parts of the post-processing.

One thing I'd like to throw out there is that this is a big project, and I could use help with it. Those people who have offered to help almost also come with changes that would make dxr work for non-Mozilla use cases. Those are fine, but they don't solve the main issues I get asked about by you guys.

I feel badly that dxr isn't all it could be yet, but am quite simply overwhelmed with all the projects I lead or participate in for Mozilla. Something has to give, and right now, that's dxr. The next time I'll have any is next spring/summer.

I ran into some problems using dxr.mozilla.org today. Two, possibly
related, issues:

ISSUE 1:
1) Load
http://dxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/content/base/src/nsTextNode.cpp.html#78/BindToTree

2) Click the "BindToTree" link.

This should presumably do something other than saying "Um, this isn't
right..."

ISSUE 2:
The "callers" option seems to not work. That includes the example link
on the front page:
