Notes DXR Weekly Meeting December 6th, 2011
==========================================
Attendees:
Mozilla: Taras Glek, Ehsan Akhgari
Lanedo: Lionel Dricot, Christian Dywan
Great meeting, very useful.
* Progress since last week:
# Lanedo identified a huge memory problem which was the reason why
dxr.lanedo.com was not working
# Lanedo finishing the splitting work. A public branch has been
published on https://github.com/kalikiana/dxr/tree/split
* Taras confirmed that Mozilla is open to change his expectations in
term of time spent regarding the original plan as long as Lanedo clearly
communicate about it. For example, a lot of time was spent fixing bugs
while this was not in the original project plan.
* Mozilla should be able to follow closely Lanedo progress. A public
branch (done) and a functional dxr.lanedo.com are a must.
* Lanedo will do its best to workaround the current memory problem in
order to have a functional dxr.lanedo.com before the end of the week. It
might involves running the indexer on another machine but it's the goal
of the split anyway.
* Ehsan will help to boost the review process on bugzilla. Review
process will be easier if they can see patches in action on our server.
* Ehsan will check the possibility of getting a Mozilla dxr instance
though doubtful that Lanedo will get access to it.
* Lanedo will accompany all patches with github pull requests but keep
review comments on bugzilla and have requests closed if something's
rejected.
ACTION: Lionel, to send an email on Friday with the current status of
the work.
Next meeting: Monday December 12th, 9:00 PST, 18:00 CET.
