That document basically still applies to moz/ff.
Except that the people who where involved in the implementation/bug
fixing of the certificate chain importation in moz/ff just repeatedly
never read that page (until 2005), and as a result only seamonkey 1.0/ff
1.5 are doing it correctly, all previous versions are severely broken.

This was fixed fairly soon after it was brought to our attention. As is
always the case, things get fixed much better with a proper bug report.
Are you saying that you knew about this problem and did not report the bug?
Yeah thats what I have found. Opera imports PKCS7 chains relatively
well, but I can't get any version of moz/ff to import anything but the
first cert with Issuer unknown (since it didn't import the subsequent
Issuer). Where is the code exactly (I downloaded the source but its hard
to follow)?

Try following this discussion in the above bug to see if that's what
you're seeing. FF 1.5 should perform correctly.
