Has anybody tried to verify under NSS the signature of data signed under OpenSSL and vice versa ?

This happens everytime a signed mail sent by Mozilla is verified by a tool that uses openssl. I know one person that uses a command line mailer with such a configuration.

It in fact certainly happens much more frequently everytime someone connects with mozilla/fx to an apache server in SSL, or with an openssl based tool (include ssl in php/perl in that) to a Sun ONE Web Server (or any other derivative of Netscape Enterprise Server).

So it probably happens tens of thousands of times every single day.

Does anybody have any ideas? I can post my code if anybody wants to look at it...

This is probably the easiest way of making clear what you got wrong.

P.S. What is the status of the netscape.public.mozzilla.crypto mailing list? Is it officially closed?

Yes.
