For now I'd recommend the excellent extension memchaser[1]. If you need
more detail you can turn on javascript.options.mem.log in about:config
and look at individual GC's in your browser console.

For information, Julien is working on Gaia. So I do not think we have any
equivalent to it in Gaia.
One approach would be to add a similar thing as they currently do for the
FPS counter, and have something short displayed in one of the corner of the
screen.
