Hi all,
I've been prototyping a project that uses Rhino+Java, using Java 5. I
think I've wrapped my head around the way scopes are handled and such
from Java, and of course I've found Rhino to be just awesome. Now I'm
ready to dive into the real implementation, and I'm considering moving
to Java 6. The friction for me is a bit of laziness and a strong
desire not to have to upgrade my laptop to Leopard. Aside from that,
can anyone comment on the benefits and costs of switching to Java 6? I
also want to be sure that I can still directly manipulate and chain
variable scopes as I can using the Rhino API in Java 5. I didn't see
that in the JSR 223 stuff, but I admittedly haven't looked too hard.
It's a minor concern for me that most of the examples I've seen don't
use the Java 6 scripting API.

I know there are a lot of smart people on this list -- any guidance
from you will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam
