No rush on my part. I was just genuinely curious -- 1.7.2 changes the API for continuations, so I'll need to adjust some code of mine for it, and was wondering when will that be due, but that's all. I'm in no hurry.

Folks (well, primarily Norris),

any idea when is 1.7.2 going to be released?

I have a few bugs I'd like to fix before the next release, but nothing
overwhelming. Overall I think the current CVS snapshot is very stable.
Unfortunately I got hit by the flu and by a broken fax machine, so I
only sent the committer's agreement today, btw.

Well, my plan had been to wait until the new AST API was done. I have
those changes building locally and passing all the shared tests we
share with SpiderMonkey. However, it fails a few unit tests still and
I've been waiting for some help from the contributor to fix.

So a question for this larger group: should I wait for the new AST API
for 1.7R2, or go ahead with a release and plan the AST API for 1.7R3?

If it doesn't create too much collateral damage, it would definitely
be nice to have the better AST API. I guess it really depends how
confident you are with it.

Regarding the time frame, I'd say we should target a release within Q4
2008.
