I'm writing a javascript client, with a to-be-determined-serverside math application that interfaces with maxima the free math program. Has anyone ever written a Rhino to maxima interface, and can you point me to some resources? If directly calling functions from that lisp program isn't exactly rhino's cup of tea, can rhino run system command lines, such as starting maxima...passing in "1+1;" and retrieving the answer "2" ??
