I have looked for hours and am now just confused :o/ I am revamping the Firebug inspect feature and would like to put a transparent canvas in front of the HTML content and use this canvas to highlight HTML element positions.
The canvas must be chrome content for various reasons (less intrusive to the users page, page css does not affect chrome inspector etc.).
