For loops are definitely supported. This is probably some sort of bug
in your code, but we need more information to help you debug it. Have
you looked in the error console for syntax error messages? What is the
for loop meant do? Does control get to the for loop before or after you
request an extension button? Which version of which Mozilla product are
you trying to extend? May we see the complete text of the Javascript
function that doesn't work?
