i think the question is : are they gonna be part of libldif and if so
should we should deliver it on par with other libs or do we want to
move them to the libldap instead? i believe OpenLDAP has them private
as part of their liblutil and ldif.h.
i'm definitely not against making them public but my take on it would
be keeping them in libldif, making libldif available in dist on par
with other libs ie .so and not .a only and then making ldif.h public.
