I asked about tests for the LDAP SDK on the bug being used to land the
6.0 SDK. Responders were not aware there were tests.

A google search turned up a link:
http://www.mozilla.org/directory/csdk-tests.html

Perhaps these can be updated, striking while the iron is hot.

I know it is a strange thought, but the tests for the SDK could be
checked in at the same time as the SDK. Some people might even suggest
that is desirable. :-)

The more complicated part of this is probably going to be setting up an
LDAP server. I have set up similar tests. For example, I set up a test
of Thunderbird with a script that sets up standalone mail server using
Apache James. A similar, automatically configured LDAP server could be
set up using openldap. The openldap stuff is pervasively available on
Mac OS X. How much of a problem is this on other platforms?

I have set up LDAP tests, but it was on Mac OS X with openldap, and it
was over a year ago. I was testing a system that vended LDAP through
JNDI into a java application. Is anyone who is more knowledgeable about
LDAP issues with Mozilla willing to collaborate with me on this?

thanx - ray
