Hi ! My OpenLDAP server is configured to accept SASL EXTERNAL authentication with client certificate. It works with ldapsearch from openldap project. (I needed to build with OpenSSL because SASL EXTERNAL did not work with GNUTLS) I did not succeed to bind to my server with Mozilla LDAP C SDK, neither with a patched Thunderbird (based on 2.0.23) nor with the example program.
