Thanks for your answer. The idea behind my question is to be able to provide smart replacements for favicon.ico site icons providing my own visuals. This means i don't have access to the servers i'm accessing to and of course, i cannot change their error page. Modifying the HTTP response for favicon.ico should be a good way to go if it is possible to change that response status.
