Hello Appsters,
Thanks for all the hard work put into landing great functionality for the
Apps Web Runtime on the desktop! Even though some items did not land in Firefox
15, we still firmly believe the web app integration
in FF15 is a*huge* step in improving app support on the desktop. Here is the
plan moving forward for FF15 Aurora.
1. Keep the desktop WebRT pref'ed on as it is currently in FF15. And
we would like to expose it to the Aurora audience to get a broader
amount of feedback and testing.
2. The WebRT engineering team will petition to have a few fixes to
blockers uplifted late to FF15 Aurora.
3. Close to the FF15 Beta merge, the Desktop WebRT will be evaluated to see if
it should continue to be pref'ed on.
Also Appsters we'd love your help in UX, engineering, and testing especially when it
comes toblockers <https://wiki.mozilla.org/Apps/Status#WebRT_Desktop_Blockers>.
