Hi there Marketplace-for-FFxOS-interested parties, The Marketplace team is still getting questions about whether or not the Marketplace App for FFxOS is a packaged app. Below please find the decision and current status. Decision: - Marketplace is a hosted app. This means that the app refers the user to a URL when it is opened. (Potch currently owns a bug to ensure a graceful offline message to the user.) - Marketplace is not a packaged app: meaning it will not be packaged into a .zip file for delivery onto the FFxOS device - Neither is Marketplace a certified app: it does not require access to sensitive APIs and does not require certification The QA & Release teams meet this week to ensure coordinated testing and release across B2G, Marketplace and FFxOS.
