Appists!

Here's the latest news from the land of r2d2b2g.

*Version 0.8 Available*

Version 0.8 is now available for Windows <https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/labs/r2d2b2g/r2d2b2g-windows.xpi>, Mac <https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/labs/r2d2b2g/r2d2b2g-mac.xpi>, and Linux <https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/labs/r2d2b2g/r2d2b2g-linux.xpi>. We're winding down work for V1, and some folks were at MozCamp this weekend, so the changes are relatively minor. But the version does include newer versions of B2G and Gaia.

And it includes a feature contributed by Victor Bjelkholm <https://github.com/VictorBjelkholm>: support for Firefox's new remote debugger! First enable the debugger in a Nightly or Aurora build of Firefox by using /about:config/ to set /devtools.debugger.remote-enabled/ to /true/ and restarting the browser. Then start the Simulator, open the debugger in Firefox via /Web Developer > Remote Debugger/, and tell the debugger to connect to /localhost:6000/ (the default value). You'll see the scripts running in the Simulator and be able to debug them!

And Luca Greco <http://ubik.cc/> blogged about Hacking Firefox OS <https://hacks.mozilla.org/2012/11/hacking-firefox-os/>, including using the Simulator in his workflow.
