With the "stable" tag, I think there is a perception that we might do experimental or dev releases like many other open source projects do. Since we don't do that, maybe we should drop the tags to reduce our web page maintenance and avoid confusion. I think latest is always stable for us unless specifically marked as beta or release candidate. I do like marking things as "legacy", though, so we can communicate our intention to support (or not) older releases.
