The Apache Accumulo project is pleased to announce the release of Apache Accumulo 2.0.0! Apache Accumulo 2.0.0 contains many new features, bug fixes, performance improvements and redesigned components. Hadoop 3 and Java 8 are required for this version.
New users are encouraged to start using 2.0. Users with older versions running should upgrade to the latest 1.9 release before they begin migrating to 2.0. There will continue to be releases for 1.9. Special thanks to the 40+ developers who made contributions over the past 3 years... all your hard work is finally paying off! *** Apache Accumulo® is a sorted, distributed key/value store that provides robust, scalable data storage and retrieval. With Apache Accumulo, users can store and manage large data sets across a cluster. Accumulo uses Apache Hadoop's HDFS to store its data and Apache ZooKeeper for consensus. This version is now available in Maven Central, and at: https://accumulo.apache.org/downloads/ The full release notes can be viewed at: https://accumulo.apache.org/release/accumulo-2.0.0/ An upgrade guide is available at: https://accumulo.apache.org/docs/2.x/administration/upgrading -- The Apache Accumulo Team
