Gary - thanks for looking in to this.  We are going to test that it solves the 
issue we're seeing.

In the meantime a quick question please....  as we are running this in the 
background in Unix, how do we stop the broker gracefully?  The FAQ simply says 
to kill the process and I presume that this will not call broker.stop() 
correctly.
