The text in the build instruction boxes is invisible. The source for the page
shows the text but Firefox doesn't show anything.
A key step in building the vendor component is missing from the description.
Tim Bish explained what to do on the mailing list

but the instructions never made it to the web page. New users need to know
this step.
Attached is a patch that replaces the script format with PRE format. It
includes the vendor build step.
