Hi Kenno, Yes you have to start rabbitmq before Airavata, but once we implement reconnection(not yet done) its not going to be an issue, but before you use Airavata you have to make sure you have started a Rabbitmq server.
Installation is no different than a normal Rabbitmq installation[1] (there are instructions for each platform), but server has to be configured to allow guest users, by default its prohibited[2].
