I recently created a Pull Request for JIRA issue - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AIRAVATA-2601 to add group to an application like how we have it for experiments. This change would allow users to view only those applications to which they have access to. Also, while launching experiments, we first check whether the user has permission to the application for which they want to launch the experiment. The files changed and the changes made can be viewed under the Pull Request. Groups for compute resources would follow.
