Well. Software has bugs. Always. Full stop. But you can absolutely help in
decreasing the number of bugs by:

   a) spending more time and effort on finding them
   b) getting clear description and reproducible reports for them
   c) having more time to fix them.

So. As a user - you can help in all that

   a) you can engage and test in the process of development where they would
test alphas, betas, etc. For example we are now testing 3.1.0b1 - published
yesterday https://lists.apache.org/thread/nrnbwb2d3b6l8yt24ybzkz5p4kns847x -
grab it. Install it in your staging system, test extensively

   b) you can report issues in a clear way with easy to reproduce steps. This
makes it easier for those who fix it not to attempt to reproduce and loose time
for it but to actually look at fixing the problem

   c) you can turn into contributor and contribute fixes. That actually
increases time available to fix the issues.

Software always has bugs, that's the nature of it. Automated tests help but
you can't test everything and in all combinations - however having more users
who would take versions of Airflow that are pre-releases and report issues when
they find them (or even better - turn into contributors and fix them) might
definitely help.

So ... all is in your (and other users/contributors) hands to decrease
number of bugs.

BTW. I quite not agree with assesment with "many basic" things missing or
bad. And if you have something to back your " have already quite extensive list
of things to fix" - then the question is why you have not done b). I looked
here:
https://github.com/apache/airflow/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20state%3Aopen%20author%3Asimi
and suprisingly I have not found any issue reported by you.

If you have "extesnsive list of them" and they are not reported (especially
with reproducible steps) then, I think it's a bit like with the joke:

   * praying person: "please God, let me win the top prize in the lottery"
   * God: "give me a chance, buy a ticket"
